Effective immediately, in-person correspondence (hand-delivery) is no longer accepted.
For the Refugee Protection, Refugee Appeal and Immigration Appeal Divisions, correspondence received by mail, fax, email or epost will be actioned before hearings resume.
For Immigration Division only, please send your correspondence by fax to the following numbers:
- Central region: 416-744-4274
- Eastern region: 514-496-2252
- Western region: 604-666-7082

If unable to send correspondence to the
Immigration Division by fax, please contact the registry in your region to discuss an alternate delivery method
for the Immigration Division correspondence only.
Warning – fraudulent phone calls
If you received a call from someone claiming to be from the
IRB and asking you for money, or payment of any kind,
it's a scam. The
IRB will never ask you for money. Please report the call to the
Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501. If you are a victim of this scam, please call your local police.
