How to ensure PDF forms are filled in correctly

The Notice of appeal – removal order form can only be used to appeal a removal order issued to a permanent resident, protected person, or a foreign national who holds a permanent resident visa.

You cannot appeal if you have an immigration status other than those listed above, such as a temporary resident status ​(visitor, student, worker) or a person whose refugee claim was refused.

You need to fill in the form of the city closest to where you reside:

Documents required: You must provide a completed notice of appeal form and a copy of the removal order you are appealing.

Time limit: Your appeal documents must be received by the Immigration Appeal Division within 30 days of receiving the removal order you are appealing.

Where to send your documents: You must send your documents to the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) regional office closest to where you reside. You are encouraged to send your documents by email.
